One day Sachiko Hanamura arrives at the Amamiya mansion in a high-class residential area in Tokyo to work as a maid. She’s greeted by Remi, the lady of the house who is as beautiful as a model. Remi’s husband Takeshi is a handsome surgeon, and she boasts two adorable twin daughters in middle school. To Sachiko, who grew up in a humble household in the countryside, this life seemed like the stuff of dreams.
The twins contrast each other well. Rika, the older, has the glamour of a French doll, whereas Yuka, the younger, has the grace of a Japanese doll. The story is set in Tokyo at Hanayama Hospital. The assistant director, Masashi Oya, is a little indecisive,
but he definitely has skills. He also has a fiancée. But one day, they hire Rika Amamiya as a nurse—when in actuality, she came in with her eyes already on Masashi. After which, strange incidents continue to occur. Disappearing patients, nurses, doctors...and even Masashi’s fiancée falls into the grasp of Rika’s magic hands.
Three years later. Film producer Takao Honma is living apart from his wife because of her cheating ways,
and he even lives apart from his only beloved daughter. One day, he creates an account on “a dating app with messaging features” to do research for work. And that’s when he receives an email from a woman with the username RIKA. They exchange emails for a while, and Honma—for work purposes—suggests to Rika that they meet up...
